a button selecting a page in MD AND selecting a patch in Mainstage?

Hi, Just bought midi designer pro to work with my comprehensive Mainstage Keyboard set up.  Pages all designed in MD to how I want it to work...Now to midi appoint it.

This is how I want it to work, I have my main/piano page on the left, and keyboard layer pages on the right - eg. one page for strings, one page for hammond, one page for synth pads etc. On the left hand side of my main/piano page I have nice big buttons that are currently selecting the layer pages, but I want them to ALSO select a patch in mainstage ie if I press the 'Hammond' button, it will select the hammond patch in Mainstage and change my MD to my Hammond controls - is this possible?

Hey there, so there are two concepts here: 1) you can have a control perform two functions by having it be the supercontrol of two controls. Great - thanks, I'l give that a go.  I'm currently using a 'hidden controls' page to put all these subcontrols on away from my user pages - is that the best way to do it?

Yes, that's the best way. You *could* use Pedalboards, but a separate page is much simpler (under the hood). Also note that you could create a separate Page Bank and put your page in there.

Also: email your layout to yourself often for backup. It's the easiest way at this time, though iTunes backup will backup your MD layouts too. Thanks!
