Thanks for reporting this. We got news the other day of this bug and are trying to push 1.6.6 out to handle this. It's in Beta now.

Confirmed defect with iOS 8 and MIDI Designer 1.6.5. We've got a fix and it's entering Beta Testing today.

Your options are:

  • use an external keyboard. Keys are 0-9, A-F, L, V, space, backspace and enter
  • wait (2 weeks max)
  • if you're a Lite Unlocked or Pro user, get in touch via Config -> Actions -> Email Us and we'll get you on the Beta Team

Thanks for your patience!

Sounds like this bug is a real pain to fix. Hope to see an update soon.
No, the bug was easy to fix but we always try to correct many more things in each update. 1.6.6 is finishing up beta testing and will be out by mid Dec. Please check out the change log to see what we've fixed
Thanks for your patience!
any news on when the sysex keyboard is back. This is quite awkward with an external keyboard.  You said mid Dec .... any idea when you gonna release the fix ?
thanks
Ernie
We're on target: it was submitted to Apple for approval on Sunday. Still working on the flyer to show what's up, but you can check the change log to to see the details. Thanks for your patience.
