Would it be possible for the button control to have a 'step function' ?

Would be great if the button had an ability to step through different values each time it is pressed rather than just toggle/momentary?

Short answer: a momentary button that is the supercontrol of a knob will automatically step it to the next "tick."
Try Googling: stepper midi designer
If that doesn't work and you cannot figure it out, put a comment back here and I'll explain it.
