RD-88 Loading scene including associated tones

Hi guys!

I recently got a Roland RD-88 and downloaded Midi Designer. It's working great, but one thing doesn't work and I'm trying to figure out if it is me, or just not supported.

When I go to the scene tab and move the selector to a scene, the associated tones (1 to 3 depending) are not selected in the other tabs where you can change the layer from Lower, U1, and U2. I understand that setting the 3 tones on the Alphabetic look up tab, won't change it in the other lookup tabs.

Is this a limitation, or just something that wasn't added?

It would be great if when you load a scene or 3 tones on any of the tabs, they would show on the zone tab. Something like the attached mock-up.

If you don't know of any technical reason why it can't be done, I'll attempt to modify the design myself.

For the most part, the “load” function on each tab is independent.  This is to keep load times reasonable and the separate load functions managable.  A complete dump of all parameters used in the layout would take some time.  (RD-88 SysEx queue iimiitation, not MDP2).  Where controls are identical, they are copied, so changes in one affect all copies.

The tone display is not hard to add, if I had the data spreadsheet with me.  But I just left on three weeks travel with only iPad, so cannot do the update until i get home.

It really helps if questions on a layout are posted on the layout thread, not a new thread.

Ok. Wasn't sure where to post it. I'm still getting the hand of MD and trying to understand how the response is parsed and the controls on the screen updated. Thx!
