Does MIDI Designer work with the iRig MIDI interface for iPad?

Is anyone using MIDI Designer with the iRig MIDI interface?  I bought this interface device because my local GC did not have the Line6 MIDI Mobilizer II in stock.  So far I'm not having any luck
