I'm not a ninja, but I've dealt with NRPNs before, and I'm the author of MIDI Designer ;). I'd be glad to help with any NRPN questions, regardless of how basic they may seem.

Regarding ninjas [omitted]
lambeardo, if you own a DSI Tetra I'd be glad to help get you up and running with NRPN.

Cool- I've started with the layout in m'spare time today. I do own one. I'd like to model as many of the features in the Tetra editor as possible... http://www.soundtower.com/tetra/

Before I even get to the NRPNs I'm wondering about a few UI elements: Is there a way to set up toggle switches- for example I can choose SIN,TRI,SQU,SAW shapes for the LFO. I'm preparing to have 4 buttons(1 per) Can I set that up so that only one is selected at a time? Or is there a way to make a button that cycles through options (with feedback)?

The bigger question would be how to implelement the modulation routing. There are many places an LFO or spare envelope can go to, ideally there would be a pull down element in midi designer, there isn't is there? Any suggestions?

here are screen shots of the layout (no midi implemented yet) I don't know how to inline thmere here...

Hi and thanks for this answer. Yes, you can get radio buttons using Button Groups in MIDI Designer. That Google Doc is not shared as public, so only you can see it. Thanks!!!
These layouts look great, timbo. I've got a Tetra too, and would love to be able to edit patches on my iPad. The one question that's holding me back is: can this load the parameters from an existing patch from the Tetra into the iPad?
dswo it depends on whether we can get the Tetra to send back parameters. It's a question of digging into the user manual, unfortunately.
