MIDI Designer Lite: I deleted controls, but still can't add more!

I've deleted controls, but MIDI Designer doesn't allow me to add more without upgrading. I'm not done trying it out!

Fixed in 1.4.5 (released 2/2/2013)

This is a confirmed bug in MIDI Designer 1.4.4. 

Workarounds

  1. Use Config -> Actions -> Reset UI to start from scratch

This answer will be updated as we find other solutions AND when we release a fix.
