Why is midi designer intermittently failing on iphone 8 and needing reboot

Midi designer is constantly failing to load on iphone 8. Sometimes a reboot of the phone fixes the problem sometimes not.

That’s very odd. Can you offload your layouts using iTunes connect and delete and reinstall? Which iOS version ?
