Updated Layout 8, now named 1.8, for the M-Audio Venom.
Very simple Design, most ticks renamed yet (Means: Single Preset names for Bank A and B). Most controls use sysex based on the vyzex editor. This is my first MD Layout, so feel free to help me making it better and easier to use. The single-arp and pattern-arp pages are still under construction. You now get feedback from Venoms edit Matrix to the App and you can see most edits in your Venom changing (pattern for example, if you press the pattern Button on venoms Front). For me the best mobile solution and of course tweaking sounds is the most fun. Multi Mode is now working, so changing i.e. the keys and velocity area is quickly done. Changing arp pattern is easy, too.
For easy overview: white is global edit, green is single edit, orange is multi edit and blue is multi-single edit (so far).
Cool features are: A Pitchbend hold wheel (cool to hold drum pitch) and direct bend range access ; instead of stepping linear through: insert effects or filter or sounds in venom you can choose a knob and the value will be send on release only.

- Thirt - Ticks renamed in Banks A+B and little errors removed (wrong number of ticks 127 instead of 128) (was 1.3)
- 1.4 - Stepper +and- for Bank A+B had wrong subcontrols, LFO rate/beat knobs had some ticks missing
- 1.5 Multi program change implemented and controls on all arp pages are sending sysex now. A few text descriptions for a better overview. Have fun!
-1.6 some controls changed to Midi cc, so edits on venoms front panel matrix are visible in the app. And therefore + and - buttons are not receiving midi anymore, so venoms control matrix could be used without problems. Now you can mute parts or select which parts are controlled by the edit matrix in multi mode via Midi. There is a test pattern step, but not working as it should. The idea was to step one pattern + or - on all parts in multi mode, like a song mode for your own patterns in row. There is a midi switch if needed from midi DIN to USB, but you will loose connection and have to switch back by using venoms shortcut "edit + out (gis3)" or sending similar sysex via midi USB to venom.
-1.7 audio input controls added. Single name editing is possible (my venom has got a bad input encoder, so helpfull in my case)
There is a "sysex request" button, that activates venom to send sysex data, but my layout doesn't read the incoming data. So actually just for testing.
-1.8 Bank1 reduced from 5 to 4 pages and Bank2 reduced from 5 to 3 pages. Less page flipping. Smaller Labels to get more space for controls. Multi Pages are not changed/reduced yet. Patch naming control changed from Picker to Knob (Image 10), so no Picker upgrade/IAP needed.
Created/uploaded on iPad6 MD2.3330. Midi Designer doesnˋt support uploads from Ipad2 / MD2.131 to this section anymore. Iˋm trying to upload the 1.8 ipad2 version to the „M–Audio Venom fan page“ Facebook groups file section to keep the old Ipad2 still useful.
– iPhone version is still under construction, but could be useful. The free space on venoms front panel right, is a perfect place for an iPhone.
