Workaround for Crashes: Delete Plist


You'll need to use iTunes on your computer to get access to MDP2's file sharing. 

Link to Apple about File Sharing with iTunes

In the documents for MDP2, delete the hintsCenter.plist file.

We'll have a fix version in Beta in the next few days and should release before the holiday shutdown.

Can confirm Dan Ive performed this workaround and have been in design mode for a good hour and perfectly stable!

Sorry Dan thought Id just say I used it for around 5 hours today, not a single crash, perfect and far better. Thanks man...;)
The Scaling tool rips...its really cool!
Would it be possible in a future release to have that feature "hidden" using an option button etc in the config? On rare occasions it covers a control and makes it tricky to use. But I LOVE the feature, its great in design mode, but it would be cool if it could be turned on or off? No hurry but I thought Id ask mate.

Thanks man. It's fun to be able to track this stuff, and your reports lit a fire on our side to be able to track down user crashes, which we've got now. Looking forward to fixing more stuff!

BTW, regarding "Scaling tool tips (rips?)"... what are we talking about please?

lol, sorry mate I wrote this last night after a "few" bourbon (Wild Turkey!) and cokes!
Ok, I may end looking like the biggest goose here, if so, leave the post up, so as to forever help me remember my stupidity! haha
For the last couple of weeks, when ever I open MD2, and it only seems to be on MD2, this "small white hand" icon and a + in a magnifying glass appear at the bottom right corner of the screen, you can actually see it in the screen shots of the TB3 layout I done.
It lets you zoom in and out on the screen.
Now, after seeing your reply of puzzlement, I'm pretty sure this has nothing to do with MD2, and may actually be a "feature" of iOS running on the Pro...so, if this is the case, Im just gonna sink deep into my chair in embarrassment and pretend I'm not here ok? lol

Hey there Dood, that makes sense. Those two icons -- pan and zoom, we call them -- are to allow you to move between different zoom levels and pan around them if you choose. They should only be visible:
1) in portrait, always
2) in slide-over, always
3) in landscape, only on iPad Pro 11" (not sure if the new iPad Pro 12.9 also has a weird aspect ratio)

What iPad are you running?

Fewww (wipes brow), I dont feel "as" dumb now haha (I stress the word "as" ;)

iPad Pro 2017 12.9" (A10x cpu 64gb Wifi only) iOS 11.1
Aspect is 2732 x 2048, the 11's are 2388 x 1668?
We had to make a couple of changes for 11's in a project recently although I was only doing the back end db stuff buddy so Im no expert on what they done.

Yeah, the 12.9 is 1024x768 plus a scale factor, so it should NOT show those icons again. I'll run through that code yet again and see what I can fix. The tragedy is if you need them and they're not there. Having them ugly up your layout isn't great, either, but it's the lesser or two evils.
