MIDI Designer Pro 2 sending CC values to Prophet 12 which receives and changes value but no audible change.

MIDI Target Manufacturer(s): Sequential (was DSI)

Basically I'm sending the correct messages through and I can see the ADSR change as I send Decay and Release lower values but sound doesn't actually change until I turn the knob. It's strange because I've tried it on multiple different pot modes.

While this is clearly a question for the DSI forums and people who know the Prophet, you might find some help here anyway (doesn’t hurt to ask). However, at the risk of not helping at all, the answer in these types of situations is usually one of two: 1) read the manual more. You’ll find some tiny little detail, some MIDI messsage that you need to send to say “execute.” 2) Try random sh*t. I have no particular suggestions to try, but sending a prog change or anything could seal the deal and get the changes to “take.” That said, this is a pretty weird thing, and no doubt it’s by design.

Isn’t  there a Prophet 12 layout for MD somewhere here?

Sorry, I missed this one. Yes, I made 2 layouts for the P12, one just updated to V2.0. I remember there was some issue with envelope control as described above, but I need to double-check. I will come back to you.

I just double-checked: with my P12 performance controller it works as expected now. As I said I remember having the same problem, envelopes changing in the P12 display when controlled from MD (means the sysex code in MD is correct), but no changes in the sound. Most probably a glitch in the P12 system, which appears only sometimes. My P12 module is on OS 1.4.1, I should probably update to the current 1.4.2.3. You could also check about yours.
