As an alternative, it would be possible to have a simple “filter” button that, when pressed, allows the passage of midi note on/off messages in the range and midi chanel specified in its properties and, when released, filters out the same midi note on/off messages?

This suggestion is in response to the fact that MD has no SB "in the middle" between controls and other controls.

Or, better, to the fact that MD has no SB "in the middle" between its midi in and its midi out :-)
