I think I came up with a bootleg way of doing this.

I have a Meris Mercury 7 and wanted a label to display which one of the reverb algorithms I was using.

As there are two algorithms I started with a cross-fader with 2 ticks. One said "Cathedra" and the other "UltraPlate".

I then added a 'toggle' button titled "Algorithm". I then made the 'toggle' button the supercontroller for the cross-fader so that a press of the algorithm button would toggle between the algorithms on the cross fader. I then shrunk the size of the actual cross fader down to where all you could see was it's label and voila, you now have a label that changes when you press your toggle button.

I'm hoping I explained this well enough to be understood and didn't skip any steps. I'm new to midi and this has been a great learning experience for me.

Let me know what you think!

Perhaps you meant "Knob" as opposed to "Crossfader" ?
Nope. I used a crossfader.

Is there a way to insert a picture?
If so, I can show you.

Figured it out.

I hope this helps....

Ok, apparently I had to 'answer' the original question to be able to upload pictures.

So this answer is for both danklim and larrypjr.

If you read my answer from jul 30th it may explain what I am showing here.

If you look at the red rectangles you can see that I have a label (the shrunken cross faders) for both which reverb algorithm I am using and for the name of my current preset. When I press the blue 'algorithm' button it toggles between the two and the label on the cross fader changes to match the active algorithm. The same happens with my presets. The names of the presets are the names of my current batch of songs. You can also see that the preset button is lit blue, which kind of makes my preset label redundant.

I hope this helps.

Feel free to ask any questions.
