can i use a button to change subcontrols to default ?

Question

i have a number of sliders / knobs with named ticks , and each has a default set .

e.g

named ticks could be 1sec,2sec,3sec and the default is set to 2sec (2nd value in the list of named ticks).

without a load of details in this thread , can i currently / can i request that within a subcontrol i could either inc/decrease through the named tick list , or perhaps specify which value to jump to by either using name or numeric display value (absolute or relative number ??)

i could then have a list of delay values , and use a button to specify each one to jump to / from

momentary button would have values such as 3,5(default) , when i press the button it sends the value 5 and gets the relevant delay value , when i let go it reverts to my defined default in the list , in this instance the settings on the name tick with numerical value3,

currently it goes to the 1st value in the list , so ive setup all my fave delay settings using a lot of knobs , each with only 2 named ticks.(delay value i want and default)
