How do I save Layout files from iPad in iTunes? How do I push back Layout from iTunes to iPad?

You can drag and drop to and from the MIDI Designer Documents window in iTunes. 

That's (left side) devices -> Your iPad then (top menus) Apps then you'll see a section for File Sharing.

Looks like this:

Note: You can also share by mailing layouts (config -> actions -> mail layout) and you can also open layouts from other apps, like Dropbox.
