I did try to reply to my previous post but it appears now to be Hidden, and not allowing a reply.
Midi Designer Team - Previous response:
Hey there, as far as I know, leaks are only occurring in Design Mode, though the crash may happen in Play Mode. So if you were to force-quit MD and then launch and never enter Design Mode, you should be fine.
On the other hand, the Mini 2 has 50% as much RAM as the iPad Air 2... so that's another way to solve the problem for you (as we endeavor to find a fix). Thanks
My Previous Reply:
My understanding was that the app would run without issue on the iPad Mini 2, so I see no need to buy an iPad Air 2 not that I can afford one anyway. I was disappointed that the 'Memory Issue' was not considered important enough to be fixed in the recent release.
<> My Latest Test Results 07/06/2017
These tests where carried out using the following rules:
Both WiFi & BT Off
No other apps running
MDP in 'Play Mode' only (Never entered 'Design Mode' at any time)
On a couple of tests I did re-boot the iPad to see if it made any difference.
The test pass consisted of no more than page navigation through the layout, using
super+sub buttons (workaround for 'Jump to Page' not working in OBP+MBT mode).
Pass 1: 3 mins to One Time Low Memory Warning
Pass 2: 3 mins to One Time Low Memory Warning
Pass 3: 2 mins to One Time Low Memory Warning
Pass 4: 2 mins to One Time Low Memory Warning
Pass 5: 2 mins to One Time Low Memory Warning
What can I say, it did not take me long to replicate the problem in 'Play Mode' I'm sure given time a crash will follow. I am quite happy to accept your very kind offer of an iPad Air 2 :-) or.... just let me know if there is anything else I can do to help.
