Send a series of controllers in one stream - Possible?

MIDI Target Manufacturer(s): Kurzweil Music Systems

Hi,

I own a Kurzweil Forte, and I'm trying to send a controller message followed by a bank/patch message. I want to do this with one touch of a button.

The purpose for these combinations is to put the Forte into either Program Mode or Multi Mode, and then select the desired Program or Multi.

The 1^st combination is controller message ( B0 77 01 ) followed by a bank/patch message ( B0 00 00 B0 20 00 C0 01 ) This puts the Kurzweil into Program mode and selects Program 001.

The 2^nd combination is controller message ( B0 77 01 ) followed by a bank/patch message ( BE 00 00 BE 20 00 CE 01 ) This puts the Kurzweil into Multi mode and selects Multi 001. To select Multis from an external device, the bank/patch commands are transmitted on MIDI Channel 15. That channel is set ahead of time on the Kurzweil. One can see that the Status byte indicates this.

Does anyone know of a way I can accomplish this using MIDI Designer Pro?

Solved Using Supercontrols

Hi,

I found the answer to my question. I created a supercontrol with two subcontrols: The 1st subcontrol (Momentary w Send On Only) put the Kurzweil into either of the two modes I need and the 2nd subcontrol sends the appropriate bank/patch.

I'm going to start having a bit of fun now!
