hey there, not that we know of. Can you attach a PSD here (or send it to support at mididesigner.com, just mention this ticket 5122), please? We'd LOVE to get to the bottom of this... Thanks!
Scratch that, we put an answer below. Let us know if you find anything different, please!

Nothing special at all. Just created the thing in Photoshop CC 2015 and did File -> Export -> Quick Export as PNG.

Example Image is Here (save it to photos directly from Safari on your iOS device). Both PSD and PNG are attached below. Thanks!

NOTE: Most of the issues people are having are created by iTunes destroying the transparency layer on the images. Instead, send the PNG to yourself in an email and use "Save to Photos" in mail, or save it from Safari to photos (in the example above).

Excuse that art!
Yo man!

Well just to be sure I used your png file. And I still get the same result. No transparency. So annoying. =)

The thing is that the two mididesigner pic already in memory are transparent, if they are even png I don't know, but still.

Can there be a bug related to the fact that I use ITunes on a PC. Very far fetched I know but I can think of no other. Or is there a special place it has to reside on the Ipad. I now get a synced map called "Shared Pictures"(Same as on my computer). And that along with "camera roll" and iCloud?"My photo stream" is the locations I have to choose from.

Oh and I have Psh 8. But I guess that's not vere the problem lies.
The issue lies in how you're getting the images on to the iPad. Take the PNG (click on "the image is here") in Safari and save it to photos. This will preserve the transparency. Once that works, we'll figure out a workflow that makes sense for you. Thanks!
on your iPad. All 100% on your iPad.
and YES, those two MD pics are PNGs just like the one we're playing with here.
Well that did the trick. =)

However It seems a bit strange tha the properties changes when using iTunes as a mean to transfer files.
Great, glad we could figure this out. I updated the answer. So basically, use AirDrop, Mail, Messages or something else to get the images to your device. Excited to see what you're working on with MDP2! Thanks for the dialog.
No luck -- no share in Safari in iOS 9 on my ancient iPad 2, so I suggest it would save us circling the iTunes/Safari/Photos drain if Image Manager could import also from Dropbox, iCloud Drive, and any well-behaved file-sharing app. Please!
Thanks, it's a great suggestion, we'll add it to the list. Are you on the Beta team? Do you want to help test? We'd love some more confidence in the current Beta, and iOS 9 testers are few and far between.
