We're talking about the physical device, right? How can it be physically connected to Midi (eg USB or only midi cables)?
The answer starts like this: you connect from MIDI Designer to the computer via Wifi. Then you forward messages from that Wifi to the device by using Live Routings. Check midiDR.com/connect for the way to start. The RTP stack for Windows does allow for Live Routings.
NOTE: we've taken this online with the user, will get back here when we've figured out what solutions are applicable.
User has gotten this up and running, and now we're anxiously awaiting the share: http://mididesigner.com/qa/523/call-for-templates-creamware-klangbox-pro
I'd say: if you have it, just have a go at it :-) it uses simple MIDI CC for all the controls, and the MIDI implementation manual for the various synths can be downloaded easily from ftp://sonic-core.net/software/Klangbox/ . It just takes some time and inventivity to make it ^^

Just start with it, when it's ready-ish, share it and use it for a while, then have a go at refining it.

Good luck!
The good news is that I've got it working now. I found that the order you connect it matters. You have to power up the Klangbox and then connect the USB to the iPad connection kit. You then have to make sure the Midi Designer software is closed on the iPad and not running in memory, then launch Midi Designer and hey presto, it works. I'll put some screenshots up of the app that originally came with the Klangbox, which is fiddly to use and requires a PC, against my Midi Designer layouts. Thanks for all your help.
Great Richard. I'll keep pestering you to offer them to the community, but that's obviously your call. The only thing I can assure you is that I would personally handle any user complaints ;)
