Is it possible to make a string-like controller?

Hi. I'm considering to use Midi Designer as a controller for a project. But I have some doubts whether it's possible to create desired effect.

Can I create a trigger, which acts like a guitar string? Like a long thin line which sends a note when triggered. And note velocity depends on the point, where the "string" was triggered. Another question here, is it possible to control the note & sustain that the "string" sends with other controller?

You can do this with Ribbon Strips in MIDI Designer, and you can get a separate CC using Extra CC and Hold.
