Subcontrol on different page - MIDI Designer Q&A

Subcontrol on different page

You should be able to set supercontrols and subs across pages. You don't drag the subs to the super, but rather the super to the subs, right?
You drag the "Drag to Subcontrol" button to the subcontrols.
However, it seems to be impossible to drag that button to another page.
Is there a video or somethingon how to have subcontrols on another page than the supercontrol? I can't seem to figure this out.
This is getting slightly confusing. The "Drag to Subcontrol" button is used to make a control into a subcontrol. Then the subcontrol can be moved around as you see fit. Does that help?
Yes, my initial post said "drag controls from page 2 onto the designer" but what I meant was "drag the 'Drag to Subcontrol' button from the designer to page 2".
I'll try your suggestion.
Thanks. If you want to open up a support ticket via Config -> Actions -> Email Us, we can help you a bit faster on this specific issue. Thanks!

You should be able to drag a control to whatever page you want.

But before you do check Config->Options to see that One Big Page and Change Banks together are turned off. Now you can go freely to whatever bank or page you want by pressing the bank number or the page tab.

This is correct. On iPhone we provide buttons to move between pages, but on iPad there aren't any. Of course a full cut and paste solution would be great, but this is what we've got for now. Thanks or answering, EZB!
What is one big page used for?
I would like the left/right panels to be one page, but to have subpages to hide subcontrols.

Are Banks related to PC bank select?
Ok, I'm still not getting this.

I have a supercontrol on Page 2. I go into design mode and select it. I can move it all around on Page 2, but I cannot figure out how to move it to page 1.
Dragging it to the page tab does not change pages, pressing the page tab changes pages, but the control is still on the other page.

I must be missing something very obvious.
Hi there. Both of the pages between which you want to drag the control have to be visible at the same time. Are you unable to show both pages at once, perhaps because you are in one-big-page mode?
I want the subcontrols on a page BEHIND the main page.
Right now I have tabs "Page 1" "Page 2" "Page 3" on the left, and tabs "Page 1" "Page 2" "Page 3" on the right with both sides using Page 1 as my main page.
I'm using both Page 1's (L&R) for my main page (Although they could be one big page) and I want the subcontrols on one of the Page 2's that's hidden.
How do I do that?
Send me an email via config -> actions -> email us please. There's some very basic miscommunication here that I can't figure out, but we will.

Thx,
Dan

Ok, I am an idiot. Forest for the trees and all that.

Drag control from left panel to right panel. Switch left panel, drag from right panel to left.

The key is that you can only drag from one visible panel to another visible panel, as was told to me earlier, but for some reason didn't click.

It would be nice if in a future update, if you drag a control to a page tab, it switches to that page and then you can drop it there, kinda like when you're organizing icons on an iOS device as you drag to the edge, it switches pages.

Anyway, all sorted now, thank you everyone for your patience!
No worries, glad to get you sorted, and yes, that would be a nice feature add.... we'll consider it for 2.0!
