Using 2 iPads to control one playback system with feedback? - MIDI Designer Q&A

The iPads will naturally mirror each other and NOT echo what  they receive if you just connect them directly over Wi-Fi (or any other medium). Perhaps I'm missing the point of the question, but the simplest case is completely covered. Let me know what's missing, or what I've missed, please!
Finally got back to re-visiting this issue. I have 2 iPads connected each to an IconnectMIDI2. I have them in turn connected out to in from each. I have a sample page with 8 MIDI buttons that are sub controls of a slider, making them part of a button group. As I press a button on one iPad, the same button on the other iPad lights up as expected, but I am now getting double MIDI commands to my playback system - like the button on the receiving iPad is echoing the command... am I missing a setting somewhere?
