Since upgrading IPAD to 8.1.1 can no longer connect to Mac Pro or IMAC - MIDI Designer Q&A

Hi Keith,

Haven't seen any issues connecting via Wi-Fi between iPad running 8.1.1 (which I run personally on my iPad air). However, several points:
1) You can connect from the computer to the iPad, or initiate the connection the other way
2) Make sure your sessions have a "bonjour name" on your Mac
2) Try an ad-hoc connection between Mac and iPad and use that. When that works without fail, you can move on to figuring out what's wrong with your networking. The most important thing is that the iPad can "ping" the computer and vice-versa.
3) One issue that happens is that your iPad ends up on a secondary network (maybe you're running two, for instance) that it knows about via Wi-Fi...

Anyway, sounds like you've got enough to investigate.

Thanks, looking forward to getting you sorted.

Best!
Dan
