Can we simplify the question a bit, for clarity, please? Seems like your entire question is here, "I can change the channels with the iPad knob but I can't seem to link them together"... but not sure what you're trying to link together.

Not sure how you're grouping stuff, but the Channel Changer should ONLY be used to change channels. Use another knob to group the buttons. Those buttons could be moving the channel changer around (i.e., supers of the channel changer).

Or maybe you're trying to keep buttons and manual touching of a channel changer in sync?
