Convert Midi Notes to Midi CC to control stomps in Amplitube - MIDI Designer Q&A

Thanks for the question. You can do it in MD, but you'd need to map EACH note -> cc conversion, and it would take one supercontrol and one subcontrol for each. It's clumsy but works unless you have a lot of them.

You might want to check MIDI Bridge and see if that fits what you need a bit closer.

Thank you!
I only need to map a maximum of 6 pedals.   Are you saying then, that I could use the physical keyboard,  convert the midi notes to midi CC using MD,  have AmpliTube or MD run in the background and that would work?

And thanks for the speedy reply!
You're very welcome!

Yes, you definitely can convert with no problem from incoming MIDI notes to outgoing MIDI CCs for 6 controls. In short, it's a matter of using a supercontrol for the incoming Note and a subcontrol for the outgoing CC.

NOTE: we're going off-grid in two days, but people around here should be able to help. Then by Sept 2 we'll be back to our normal OCD response times ;)

Thanks!
Dan

And yes, check the options under config to keep MD alive in background
