Hide/Show Controls Based on Supercontrol Value (Named Ticks)

Question

Hi, I'm building a controller for the Strymon TimeLine and Mobius both of which have 'hidden' specific parameters for each effect type accessible via sub-menus.

I have the main contorls, delay, repeats, mix etc. setup and working but I'd like the parameter contorls to only be visible when the effect type to which they apply is selected. This would save real estate on the page and make it much neater.

I've been trawling the help pages and  Google to no avail but I believe layering and/or super and sub controls maybe the answer but can not get it to work.

Yes, I'm using named ticks for the 12 tick 'Type' control.

I'd like the relevant parameter controls to become visible for each named tick. All delay 'Types' have the following front panel controls: Time, Repeats, Mix and I have these set up and they're working over Midi.

Each delay 'Type' has additional parameters accessible as soft controls in sub menus and accessible by cc#.  In the case of the delay type dTape for example the additional parameters are Tape Speed and Low End. I have controls set up and working for these too but I only want them visible when delay type dTape is selected from the 12 tick 'Type' control. Context sensitive controls if you like. And similarly for each delay type each of which has it's own sub set of parameters.

Thanks, this is an interesting suggestion. I think it's related to the need for a transpose supercontrol in MIDI Designer (this is a very unique case of transpose, which has rules on hiding and not hiding)... for right now, it's not possible, but it's possible to think about including some kind of logic like this in MIDI Designer in the future. This has been added to the suggestions list but no promises as to when this is going to happen. Adding programmability of this type in MIDI Designer is awesome, but it has to be done right (because once you have layouts created with a particular feature, there's no going back).

Thats an excellent idea idea! I think we need parametrical options based on clauses. The simplicity of MD can easily be reatained even if options like this are introduced.
