Is there a structural overview of what Midi Designer can do?

I might be missing it somewhere but is there some kind of overview of what one can do with Midi Designer. It can only speed up the process.

For example, is it possible to move multiple knobs from one page to another page? I encountered a situation in which I was designing a control panel and found out that some knobs needed to be replaced by more important knobs.

So an overview of the following things would be nice

- A small overview of the terminology of midi designer. For example, what is a resend, preset, snapshot etc.

- How to read a whole preset from hardware into your controller panel.

- How to read preset info from hardware into your controller panel on a certain midi channel.

- How to store a preset in hardware.

- Moving multiple controls to another page.

- Maybe a small introduction to sysex. Not everyone gets along easily with sysex.

 - Etc etc.

All these things might sound like I am lazy but I am not. It's just the my impression is that a lot of info is all over the place. Midi Designer is pretty intuitive but some things are just not clear to me at the moment. You already got a good product on your hands but imagine what it would do for the product if you can be up and running much faster.

Hi and thanks for your question. As you know, there is no manual at this time. However, several of these issues would be beyond the scope of a manual (like a small introduction to sysex), which is part of why making a manual is so difficult.

Regarding your specific questions:
1) moving multiple knobs is not possible currently
2) read a preset from hardware into MIDI designer? Please break that off into a separate question. Not sure what you mean, nor if it's possible.
3) Same
4) Store preset in hardware: same
5) Moving multiple controls: not possible yet
6) Ask questions about sysex here as they come up in your workflow. We'll help you out.

Thanks ezb. For the Community, it would be really helpful if you would break SOME of these topics into separate questions, and perhaps answer them, even when you've already figured out the answers. They will help other current and future users of MIOI Designer. Obviously, this depends on your time and preferences, but one user can make a huge difference in MIDI Designer.

I would love to help the community, when the time permits it. Your product is really good and I want it to be more popular. God knows how many hours I already spent on the CS6X layout. Imagine when I have to do that for every synth I have. The more people start using your product the sooner we have all the controller layouts we need.
