RGB LED control on external hardware

Hi, awesome app - love it! It's totally made me rethink my hardware controller options for my guitar setup, to the point that I'm thinking I'll build a basica controller with a Livid Midi Brain Jnr and use Midi Designer as the front end, so to speak.

So basically, 18 buttons or so on the floor controller, multiple pages on Midi Designer. I want to use illuminated arcade buttons for the hardware controller and I'm just wondering if there's a way to control RGB LED's from Midi Designer perhaps? Say I hit switch X on the  foot controller and it lights up or even changes from one colour to another? Hopefully Midi Designer can do it in some fashion! Either way, LOVE the app. Saved me spending $1400+ on one particular harware controller I was GASing over!

Sounds like fun!  Although the MIDI Designer guru is on a short break this week, I can personally see no reason why this cannot work. As long as you can get the buttons talking and listening MIDI, you can setup MIDI Designer to respond, toggle and cycle differing outputs..

  I know that Doepfer have various MIDI controller boards that may be able to do some of the conversion work.  The CTM64 Contact To MIDI Interface and MTC64 as examples but maybe you have already have that figured out :)

We're thinking about ways to do this right now, particularly with a pedalboard controller that we are building and prototyping. We'll see how we get through it. For right now: momentary buttons will trigger toggles in MIDI Designer by default. This might be part of the solution...
