Hi Sharwood,

I can't say for sure whether the developer (who's on holiday at the moment!) would consider this; currently it follows the MIDI naming convention, where Note 60 = C4. I have no idea why Yamaha decided to do this differently?

Can you perhaps give a reason why it would be better doing it the Yamaha way?

Thanks,

I suppose the best reason is that I grew up with the Yamaha scheme. And while I can certainly transpose on the fly if there is no other option, it'd be wonderful if the note names in MIDI Designer could be adjusted to match what I see in Cubase.
Isn't that only during Design of a layout? Surely the real note name, like C4 is most important?
Anyway, the developer may decide whether this is indeed worthwhile.
Thanks for your contribution!
