Shared Layouts
The short answer is "no." As MIDI Designer doesn't do Mackie Protocol (or any similar protocol where it can figure out what the active track is on your DAW, for instance) a "standard layout" for a DAW doesn't make that much sense. You would use MIDI Designer because you want to design your own layout. And in that sense (and most others), the Lite version is identical to the Pro version.
That said, there are a lot of opportunities for sharing layouts for specific hardware/software, which is what is coming up on the MIDI Designer Q&A site (this morning I was helping a user with a hardware synth and controlling it with MIDI Designer through NRPN).
That said, I'm going to put up a call for templates for common DAWs like Logic right now.
