iPad on WiFi but Windows8 is ethernet - can I connect?

I downloaded MIDIDesigner - looks awesome and perfect for my needs.  My MIDI Windows 8 Pro PC is hooked up to my home network with an ethernet cable, not WiFi.  Will my iPad on the WiFi network ever be able to find it?

Do I need some special software on my PC, or must I use WiFi Ad-Hoc only, thus requiring me to buy a WiFi USB stick for my PC?

HI and thank you for your question. MIDI Designer can connect to your computer provided the two are visibile on the same network. The option you're wondering about -- computer to router via cable, iPad to router via Wi-Fi -- is completely fine.

Check this link for more information, but the short of it is that on Windows you'll need to install Bonjour and then rtpMIDI.
