This is happening for MD now. Please comment here if you're interested in helping to test.

Thanks!

Hi Kenny and thanks for your question. I understand why you need portrait mode.

However, the decision was made early-on to work only in landscape mode. At some point we might revisit this decision, and your need is quite compelling, but this won't happen anytime soon.

In the meantime, as a terrible workaround, most of the gestures in MIDI Designer will be relatively intuitive is the app is sideways. This is a crude hack, of couse, but might work for you in the meantime.

Thanks. Best!

I too have been asking for portrait mode

A quick and "easy" workaround would be for MidiDesigner to allow for the objects to be rotated by click hold drag clockwise. Counterclockwise.

And allow for text to be Inputted on the vertical.
I'd like to second the request for portarit mode, like kenny-nguyen above I too use my iPad for sheet music and set lists and was disappointed to see Mididesigner does not work in portrait mode.
Thanks for your +1's for this thread. It's definitely under consideration for the next major release. I'll comment back here if I have questions for you, and when I have news. Thanks!
