Knob with different value for up and down - MIDI Designer Q&A

Hi and thanks for your question. I think you MIGHT be looking for a rotary encoder, which we'll be releasing in 1.5.1 (about 2-2.5 weeks away), but the only "push" concept we have is extra CC & hold. Can you explain if the knobs actually send normal values up and down, or exactly how these knobs work, please? If you know, of course.

Thanks!
Dan
Not too worried about the push part. These are rotary encoders, so maybe I'll wait for the update and try that.  I can make the knob increase the associated parameter or decrease it, but not both.
Thanks, please check if this discussion covers your needs (if you can figure it out): http://mididesigner.com/qa/1140/adding-encoders-endless-%26-fixed Thanks.
Got the rotary to match up with XY but not getting proper control to software.  It appears that the 2 midi signals are conflicting and canceling. Software tries to move but just slightly.  I would think I just have one of the sub control menu items set incorrectly.
Note: 1) supercontrols don't send at all (unless you explicitly change that option in options 2) could the conflict be with the Y axis? I would try getting everything to work with Knobs first, and then make he XY axes supercontrols of two knobs. Let me know if this helps guide you a bit.
Hi, what happened to this investigation? Any luck?
Tried various setups. No luck yet
Just to be clear: what I mean is that you would need to get this to work with no supercontrols at all, so you'd have to manipulate both "directions" separately, on two different knobs. Does that make sense?
