First question is whether we can get MIDI from MIDI Designer to the device, and whether we can make one single parameter change. Then we'll move on to more important stuff.

Get MIDI Designer Lite (free) and start experimenting. Comment here or get in touch via the contact page where you run into specific problems.
Should be no problem in theory. I have a Sequential max (essentially the same) and once made a cubase midi device for it that controlled the params. Time permitting I'd start a layout for this that be used for the max and 6-track

Thanks! I dug out my old sequential recently (yes still have it) and even found the original PSU, it's working nicely. I hope to give this a try in the near future, maybe even tweak the template around some more :)

Edit: tried it, works perfectly! Nice job.
