Workaround for broken layout file compatibility between MDPx on Mac 10.35.0 and MDPx on iPad 10.7.1

My weekly workflow involves creating a MDPx layout on my MacBook Pro (2021, running Tahoe 26.6.2) and then importing the emailed layout file to an iPad (5th generation) running iOS 16.7.16. This process has worked flawlessly up until the latest update to MDPx on the Mac, currently version 10.35.0 (202608232116). The MDPx version on the iPad is 10.7.1 (250824). I'm assuming the file compatibility issue is a simple consequence of "advancement". Am I out of luck due to update progress, or is there a solution that doesn't involve buying a newer iPad that will allow a more recent version of MDPx to be installed? Is it possible for users to install previous versions of MDPx on Mac, perhaps? Or perhaps there's an option to export layouts (that don't use the latest features) in a secondary file format that's compatible with older versions?

unfortunately to keep moving forward, we are updating the file format and bumping the version numbers. If  you send your layout to support at mididesigner.com, we can back off the version number BUT the layout might not work 100% on the older version. There is a chance that it crashes on load. But send us the layout and we can modify and send back. Thanks!
