MIDI Target Manufacturer(s): Behringer
I bought one of these the other day and after my first use I was near pulling out hair (not that I have much left) trying to modify envelopes using the tiny interface. After a small anxiety attack I loaded my trusty MidiDesign Pro and built an interface that turns this little synth into a beast. Behringer dont publish much Sysex, but they do map nearly all the controls of their synths to CC which is handy, so there's nothing too special underneath this layout.
Notes : Line 1 and Line 2
Because there are more controls than CC numbers, Behringer use a Bank Control message to switch the envelope controls from Line 1 to Line 2. If you want to modify Line 2 Envelopes on DCO2, you need to press the Line 2 button. Obviously you hit the Line 1 button to go back to Line1 or DCO 1 envelopes. Please note there is a bug I have found in Behringer's firmware that disables the Bank Select message if you use the 5 pin Midi DIN port for midi. For some reason, the Bank Select message is only recognised using the USB midi port. Hopefully this will be fixed in a firmware update. It has nothing to do with MD Pro.
Enjoy and as always, thanks to Dan for this brilliant app.
