Are we looking at the same device?  The manual for the Tonex Pedal shows implements MIDI and has a number of MIDI commands.

The Tonex One doesn’t snow MIDI capability.

MD communicates over MIDI connections.  If you are looking at the Tonex One, then without a MIDI connection there is no communication path for MD.

If you do show a MIDI connection is available, you can wrap these messages in a SysEx format, then use StreamByter to remove the leading F0 / trailing F7, with the +F option to remove enforcement of valid MIDI messages.

Wanting to do a similar thing. There are devices that exist now (Pirate Midi Polar, Airstep Tx) that can communicate with the Tonex One using MIDI messages via some sort of translation. But they require connecting the Tonex One to their USB host hardware/pedal which then doesn’t allow using the Tonex One as an audio interface in addition to the MIDI control. Since the iPad can also be a USB host, it seems that if there was an app that could do this same translation it could work. MIDI designer seems like the best option if it’s possible!
