MIDI Target Manufacturer(s): Other/Unlisted Maker
MCU-compatible Layout, which should work with any MCU-savvy device/software.
This new version responds to scribble-strip colour messages, displaying up to 7 colours, plus 'dark'. Please note that the colours displayed by Mickie are:
00 - Dark
01 - Red
02 - Green
03 - Yellow
04 - Blue
05 - Pink/Purple
06 - Cyan
07 - White
The colours will only approximate a DAW's track colour. This is a limitation of the MCU protocol.
Please also note that Cubase, specifically, does not transmit colour information when using its legacy Remote Device method, but *can* by using the newer MIDI Remote facility. I have tested this successfully, for instance, with this remote script:

I hope that MIDI Designer some day allows for dynamic text to accept and display scribble strip text, but for now this is as far as I can take it.
