Yes, of course. If you use some other daw than ableton, you con now use like a novation launchcontrol xl. Cause i saw so much people in internet which are searching for a method that they can use use the lights outside ableton. And here she is. Otherwise i have a streambyter script for the same problem.

and for all that dont want to work with streambyter, i willl make an app for windows and maybe osx(if its not to tricky(i am coding only on windows at thhe time)).
and this app have only to be   installed and connected  with your controller
