I'm making this a suggestion because you cannot make such a template... yet. However, if somebody were to make an app that acts as middleware -- translating Mackie into mappable MIDI and vice-versa -- then you could.

Thinking out loud here, the people who could build this for you are.... the makers of Auria Pro, which is, I'm told, "unrivaled, again."
