Hi and thanks for your question and the love. We've been discussing this over the Support channel (email), but I'll include some of what I've said over there.

You noted that you need these values to be output:

0 - 00 00
1 - 01 00
2 - 02 00
3 - 03 00
4 - 04 00
5 - 05 00
6 - 06 00
7 - 07 00
8 - 08 00
9 - 09 00
10 - 0A 00
11 - 0B 00
12 - 0C 00
13 - 0D 00
14 - 0E 00
15 - 0F 00
16 - 00 01
17 - 01 01
18 - 02 01
19 - 03 01
20 - 04 01
21 - 05 01
22 - 06 01
23 - 07 01
24 - 08 01
25 - 09 01
26 - 0A 01
27 - 0B 01

Which requires Named Ticks.

Notes on Named Ticks in This Problem
  1. This is a sysex with 2 bytes and LSB first.
  2. Named ticks allow you to edit text, so you can create the values in Excel (or whatever) and then copy and paste them into your knob. Example here for CamelPhat.
  3. The values that you need don't go continuously, or you wouldn't need Named Ticks. Use our MIDI Byte Calculator to figure stuff out.  Here are some examples:

Etc. etc... with a bit of spelunking in a spreadsheet you would be able to figure out the pattern. Hopefully, when you're done you'll post the Named Ticks Edit Text box contents here...

Thanks!

Dan, thanks so much for helping me out with this! The 4 bit LSB nibble thing really had me stumped and the named ticks solution works perfectly. Several of the ranges in the file you sent needed tweaking but I will post for everyone. My particular situation needed 0 - 254. I hope it helps someone else as well!

Amazing support!!! Some apps are abandoned at the store, but not this one!!!
Thanks so much, it means a lot.

Here's a link to your own answer on the Named Ticks question. Good luck with the insanely powerful Axe-FX:
