MIDI Target Manufacturer(s): Oberheim
Editor for the Oberheim Matrix 6. If you're familier with the MIDI & SYSEX specs on the Matrix 6 you'll know that the Mod Matrix section can't be programmed from an external editor. The modulation section of the layout is non-functioning.

@jedien. Cool layout. What was the problem with the mod matrix again? Was it the sysex structure?

If I remember correctly, it's been a year since I created this layout, it has to do with the MIDI & SYSEX implementation of the Matrix 6. There is no way to send the data on the fly. It has to be sent as an entire patches information. There are several other editors out there and they all have the same limitation.

Ah, ok. Sounds like the Moog Voyager then. It also sends a complete patch of 140 something bytes. Pretty annoying to say the least.

Thank you for this!! I've been waiting forever for someone to take this on AND share it! I've made a few of these templates so I know this must have taken awhile to put together so it is really appreciated. Also the Matrix 1000 does have access to the mod matrix via midi so people with that rack should make use of that page. Thank you!
