This MDP2 layout and accompanying configuration file provide a Ableton Live control surface. The surface synchs with Ableton, with Mixer, Transport, & Device control, plus a drum pad.
An 8x8 launchpad is included for manual mapping
Users can build on this surface, adding additional custom mappings for additional desired items
Installing configuration file - on your computer containing Ableton Live:
- Download the configuration file - “UserConfiguration.txt” from the Q&A site
- Create a new folder named MDP2 and insert “UserConfiguration.txt” - do not change the file name
- Move the MDP2 folder to:
- Mac: HD:/Users/[Username]/Library/Preferences/Ableton/Live x.x.x/User Remote Scripts
- Windows: C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Roaming\Ableton\Live x.x.x\Preferences\User Remote Scripts
- These locations may be hidden. In Mac Finder use [Command] + [Shift] + . (period) to show hidden files. In Windows, File Explorer, select View/Show (11) or View/Options (10)
