Ever wished you could program your DX synthesizer as easy as an analog one?
My first MD layout was an voice editor for the Korg 707, a synthesizer that did exactly this: making FM synthesis a lot easier to handle by covering the system behind an analog style user interface. This layout does the same for the DX21 (probably easy to adapt to the DX27 and DX100 as well, to be tested). You will find two sets of a classic oscillator-filter-amp chain, with some additional functions here and there. Important is that before you start working on a new sound, you have to press the "Edit" button, then the "Activate" button. This will initialize both the layout and the synth, switch the DX to EDIT mode and send some initial settings to it. Otherwise the buttons, knobs and sliders will not work properly.
There is a second page with common settings and a third one (same as in my original DX21 editor) with the sound selection and settings for dual and split mode.
If you want to find out more about how this works, contact me via my website www.theklangcollage.de or simply switch to Design mode and figure it out by yourself ;-)
