MIDI Target Manufacturer(s): Korg
Summary: Hot on the heels of his MonoPoly VST release (and borrowing elements from it), prolific master layout designer Ibo Kai releases this simpler controller for the Korg Polysix VST (from the KORG Legacy Collection Special Bundle). The Polysix VST is a 32-voice, digital remake of this analog synth released in 1981, and this layout will let you access all exposed parameters. The layout is simple as the VST allows for limited control, but it's well-made and useful. Enjoy!
Following the Mono Poly I made another editor layout here for the Polysix. It turned out to be much less effort this time. Firstly I used the basic design and controls from the Mono Poly (they are sister products anyway). Secondly the Polysix uses a far simpler structure to make sounds than the Mono Poly. And thirdly it turned out that unfortunately quite some things in the Polysix cannot be controlled via MIDI. Its accessibility is quite limited e.g. the whole External Modulation section and also some Key Assign functions cannot be controlled.
As there no way in the Polysix to store control maps as there is in the Mono Poly, you need to set up the CC manually. Either check in the layout using Design Mode or follow this Exel list: http://mididesigner.com/qa/?qa=blob&qa_blobid=9992898326195690879
When using Polysix VST in your DAW, you should set up the CC and then save it in your DAW template file.
