Are you seeing this same behavior with the production version of MIDI Designer Pro? Thanks!
Have not tried it yet. I have a gig tonight so it might be tomorrow before I can test it.
I cannot load the layout that I created in Next into the latest public version. When I try to export from Dropbox I get and error message stating layout created with newer verson.
Send me the layout, please, and I'll send you a version for the older MIDI Designer Pro

Thanks for the question and for the follow-up video and layout. The answer is: you're trying to move the panel, and that needs to be sent to back (use Actions -> Send to Back) so you can access the controls.

On iPad note that there are three types of locks in MD.

Please comment on this answer whether that gets you sorted or if we need to delve further. Thanks!

I'm not trying to access the controls. I want to move the panel but it gets bogged up then I cannot select a panel or the controls.
I'm seeing the issue. Bear with, thanks
Wow, this is a great find. Still no clues but working forward, thanks
Some notes: 1) fix is coming today. It's not perfect, which would require a rework, but it mostly solves the problem 2) the problem is mostly caused by using multiline labels (on buttons) on panels... 3) The problem is mostly a huge lag on selecting panels and then when you drop them... Anyway, next version of 2.9 beta should be good enough for school... Thx.
You rock Dan!
