It's "a virtual analog VSTi synthesizer that takes the definitions of quality and performance to a higher level. Until now only very few software synthesizers have been able to stand up to the sound quality standards of hardware synths. Sylenth1 is one that does." This layout covers all the bases and reorganized the interface of the synth to make sense in an iPad MIDI controller. Big hats off to EZB for this amazing contribution!

Sylenth1 is the most popular VSTi on the planet.

First of all, lots of thanks to Lennard, the creator of Sylenth1 for explaining how I should approach this.

I created this layout, so people can COMPLETELY control their Sylenth1 with Midi Designer. However, there is something extra you need to do this time.

In order for MIDI Designer to communicate with Sylenth1 you need a MidiLearn.dat file. I prepared the MidiLearn.dat file for you. You need to replace your MidiLearn.dat file with my MidiLearn.dat file. Your MidiLearn.dat file is located in your Sylenth1 folder.

Possible locations on Windows (if you can't find MidiLearn.dat search with explorer)

C:\Program Files\Steinberg\VstPlugins\Sylenth1

C:\Program Files(x86)\Steinberg\VstPlugins\Sylenth1

C:\Program Files\VstPlugins\Sylenth1

C:\Program Files(x86)\VstPlugins\Sylenth1

Take note that the paths for the MidiLearn.dat file are different!

Location on the Mac for version 2

~/Library/Preferences/LennarDigital/Sylenth1

Location on the Mac for version 3

~/Library/Application Support/LennarDigital/Sylenth1/Config

Is this layout compatible with the newest version of Sylenth1?

Hi, thanks for the layout. I tried using it with the newest version of Sylenth1, but I can't seem to make it work.

I've replaced the Midilearn.dat file as suggested.

I'm connecting with the Midi Le app.
