In MIDI Designer, “pedalboards” refer to the panels that are “underneath” the normal right and left pages.

To explain pedalboards better, we’ll introduce another term: cPage. The cPage is just a way of referring to the corresponding page above a pedalboard. So if the left side of MIDI Designer shows a Page called “Page 4”, the left pedalboard’s cPage is Page 4.

Pedalboards have special attributes:
  • The pedalboard does not have pages. There’s one pedalboard for the left side and one for the right side.
  • (Config Optional) Controls on pedalboards snap to the last values they had when the page on that side was last shown.
  • (Config Optional) Supercontrols on pedalboards only send to the subcontrols on the corresponding page.
  • (Config Optional) Toggle Buttons on pedalboards will respond to momentary external MIDI buttons. This is useful for MIDI hardware that is not two way (e.g., Midi Fighter Classic or standard pedalboads such as Roland FC-200).
  • A supercontrol on a pedalboard page that has only subcontrol will have its value changed by its subcontrol.
